Great to meet you!
I have the genuine honor of loving what I do. I am passionate about creating spaces where we can balance the science of therapeutic intervention with the art of compassion and connection so that we can meet your goals, whatever they may be.
For the past 13 years I have worked within the mental health field in various spaces, providing clinical support to children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, suicidal ideation, relationship or parenting challenges, identity exploration, and school disruptions. Healing, while rarely linear, does not have to be isolating and my hope is that together we can create a relational space for processing and self-exploration. You are the expert in your story and that doesn’t change just because there is a therapist in the room.
Research shows that the most impactful therapy sessions are not rooted in a specific type of therapeutic intervention, but instead the rapport the individual has with their therapist- do they feel understood, validated, and safe to be themselves. More than anything, I want you to not only feel comfortable during therapy, but confident in who you are and where you are going.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works as an EMDR trained, animal assisted clinician, I firmly believe that mental wellness across age, gender, race, and sexual identity is rooted in authentic relationships and centered through culturally responsive intervention. I believe that accessibility to mental health care is a matter of justice and I feel honored to work within the social work and mental health field.
