Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ellen: a doctorally prepared, dual board-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatric mental health and family practice, with more than a decade of advanced practice experience.

Before moving into mental health care, I spent years in emergency and pre-hospital medicine, which taught me how to stay calm, listen closely, and meet people in hard moments without judgment.

I work with adults and children navigating things like anxiety, depression, and stress, blending medication management with genuine, down-to-earth conversation.

My goal is for you to feel heard and comfortable from the very first visit, like you’re talking with someone who’s truly in your corner.

I’d be glad to partner with you on whatever you’re working through.

My approach to therapy

I believe good care starts with feeling genuinely understood, so I take time to learn your story before we ever talk about treatment. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth.

I’ll offer my clinical expertise, but you’re always the expert on your own life, and we make decisions together.

I focus on medication management for concerns like anxiety, depression, mood, and stress, and I’m careful to explain the “why” behind every recommendation so nothing feels like a mystery.

Whether you’ve been in treatment for years or this is your first time reaching out, you’ll be met with respect and zero judgment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation, a chance for me to get to know you, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping to feel better about.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out; my job is to listen and help you make sense of it.

By the end, we’ll have a clear, realistic plan together, whether that involves starting or adjusting medication or simply mapping out next steps.

My goal is for you to leave feeling a little lighter and more hopeful than when you logged on.
