Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I see clients in the office and virtually. I'm a former Special Education Teacher and Elementary School Counselor who grew up as an "Air Force Brat," and decided later in life to help individuals navigate life transitions, relationships, traumatic events and self-esteem. I earned a Master's in Counseling Education at Arizona State University and also completed the clinical counseling requirements at St. Edwards University in 2015.

My approach to therapy

Reaching out for Counseling can feel awkward and scary. I am mindful of your needs and goals and will help you feel comfortable figuring out what is working in your life and what you want to change. To help with life's challenges, some of the skills I offer are: cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral interventions, mindfulness, career counseling and attachment based modalities. I am also trained in basic EMDR and Gottman Level 1.

What you can expect from me

Clients report feeling better and less anxious. I hear that clients have felt challenged to reframe negative ideas and behaviors into purposeful and positive actions. My hope is for clients to feel heard, empowered and motivated to live a life that feels satisfying and fun.
