Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor and trauma specialist providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to young adults, adults and couples. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, grief, and emotional overwhelm. I am EMDR-certified, offering evidence-based treatment that supports both brain and body healing. I use CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy and other modalities to provide individualize care. You will find me to be calm, warm, with a deeply present approach, working collaboratively with clients to help them feel safe, empowered, and more connected to themselves as they move toward healing and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I practice a trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approach to therapy. I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration, creating a calm and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I work with both the mind and body, drawing from evidence-based modalities—particularly EMDR—to help clients process trauma, reduce emotional overwhelm, and move toward healing.

I approach therapy through a culturally responsive and strengths-based lens, honoring each client’s lived experience and resilience. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, meeting clients where they are and supporting them at their own pace, with the goal of helping them move out of survival mode and into a more grounded, empowered, and connected life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and welcoming space where you can begin to share at your own pace. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have, while also reviewing important background information. I take time to get to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.

You can expect me to listen with care, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate with you to begin identifying next steps that feel supportive and manageable. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, respected, and clearer about how therapy can support your healing and growth.
