Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Elsie Peña, LPC. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas with concentrations in Latinx Counseling Studies and spiritual integration, meaning I was trained to thoughtfully explore how culture, faith, and personal beliefs can impact mental health. My approach is culturally responsive and holistic, honoring each client’s identity and lived experience. I work primarily with women navigating anxiety, depression, infertility, postpartum adjustment, identity concerns, chronic illness, self-esteem, and major life transitions. My style is warm, reflective, and collaborative. I help clients build deeper insight while also developing practical tools for meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, culturally responsive, and collaborative, blending insight-oriented exploration with practical tools to support meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a safe and supportive space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about what’s bringing you in, your background, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you, there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and grounded as we start building clarity around your needs and goals together.
