Great to meet you!

Elvin Vallejo is a licensed mental health counselor with many years of experience. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from St. Peter’s University. He later graduated from Seton Hall University with a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling, where he also obtained an Education Specialist Certificate.

My approach to therapy

Elvin’s counseling approach is a holistic one focusing on both body and mind. He does not subscribe to one particular mental health theory, but rather draws from different theories that he believes will be most beneficial to the clients with whom he works with.

What you can expect from me

Elvin’s focus is on addressing the issue(s) that bring the client to therapy, as well as identifying any underlying issues that may be the root cause of the problem(s). There are many ways to achieve this, but Elvin feels that addressing the client’s personal history, such as their childhood and/or past trauma, can help identify any underlying issues.
