Great to meet you!

Has life been challenging lately? Are your relationships feeling heavy? Or are you looking for a safe space to unload and leave with actual coping strategies? As your therapist, I will be able to provide an empathetic, safe, environment where we can work on your relationships, thought distortions, mood disorders, and life stressors. I help adolescents, adults, and families during their most vulnerable moments. My collaborative approach allows us to create an individualized treatment plan with clear goals. Together we can work on your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is warm, open minded, collaborative and empowers my clients. I offer an array of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma focused CBT, Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and ACT approaches. These modalities and my humanistic approach are geared to provide individual, couples and family therapy. Step by step, I will explain how these modalities and approaches can be used to help you reach your goals.

If you decide to work with me, I will provide you with a warm judgement-free space where you will feel deeply seen, accepted, and empowered to cultivate self compassion and present-moment awareness. Together, we will explore and identify issues, patterns, and strengths. Then I will teach you skills and techniques. I will also explain any methods we use in our sessions by providing examples, work sheets, and articles when applicable. This information would then lead to developing insights, opportunities to incorporate coping skills (i.e. boundaries), and identifying opportunities for growth.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will begin with a warm introduction. We will acknowledge any first visit nerves and normalize them. I will ask you if you have any questions and encourage you to use this space to express any needs at any given moment. I will then summarize what will happen during the session. This will then be followed by engagement, a psychosocial history taking, goals setting and answering any questions you may have. We will then end the session with a check in on how the session felt along with next steps.
