Great to meet you!

I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, along with a Bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher University. My primary clinical interests and areas of focus include Neurodiversity, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I also have experience working with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, emotional and behavioral regulation challenges, impulsivity, complex trauma, and other related diagnoses. I believe and am passionate about meeting my clients where they are at in life and working collaboratively to progress toward their identified goals.

My approach to therapy

I try to be affirming, encouraging, even humorous as appropriate in sessions to build better connections and set a tone of acceptance, comfort, and safety no matter what is being discussed. I have training and experience using alternative approaches to therapy such as biofeedback, Virtual Reality, Video games, Tabletop Role-Playing Games (particularly Dungeons and Dragons), anime, and various other sources and forms of media in therapeutic settings. I recently received a certification to use the Geek Therapeutic Model of Therapy through the Geek therapy Organization ( It is a real thing, I promise!)

What you can expect from me

First session with me generally tends to be a ‘get to know you’ and the identified concerns or challenges session. I typically take a more casual approach to getting to know clients as much as possible so it feels more like a conversation. I take a collaborative approach to setting goals and discuss what my clients and their families would like to see change or improve during their work in therapy.
