Great to meet you!

I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to my work, grounded in both my education and professional experience. I hold a Masters degree in Counseling from Lincoln Christian University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health.

Professionally, I have worked in a variety of settings, including foster care agencies, churches, hospital, jails, and community mental health, supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. My experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults. It has made my ability to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs and background.

I specialize in treating concerns such as, depression, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and sexual abuse. I draw from therapeutic approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed, mindfulness, play therapy, solution focused, and motivational interviewing.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe that each individual’s story is unique, so I tailor treatment to meet the specific needs, strengths, and goals of each person I work with.

I take an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. This allows me to adapt our work together in a way that is both practical and meaningful for your situation.

I am especially mindful of the impact that past experiences, including trauma, can have on present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, develop coping skills, and foster resilience at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering.

Above all, I value authenticity, trust, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they work toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a welcoming and supportive introduction to the therapy process. This initial meeting is focused on getting to know you—your background, current concerns, and what has led you to seek support at this time.

We will review important information such as confidentiality, practice policies, and any questions you may have about the counseling process. From there, I will gently guide the conversation to better understand your experiences, challenges, and goals for therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once; we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of my approach and decide if it feels like a good fit. Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and discuss potential next steps.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
