Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Child Centered Play Therapist (CCPT) with a background in crisis intervention, as well as child and family advocacy. I treat children and adolescents in the areas of ADHD, mood disorders, verbal and physical aggression, anxiety, depression, school problems and struggles with peers and family conflict.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) for children ages 4-14 and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and emotional regulation techniques for teens. I provide psychoeducation to parents about behavior strategies and attachment. I hold a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, as well as certificates in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Circle of Security Parenting.

What you can expect from our first session

Parents will develop a better understanding of their child’s behaviors and learn effective strategies to address behavior challenges, support their child’s emotional well being and strengthen their relationship with their child.

Their child will learn to identify and utilize coping skills to support better emotional regulation and build confidence and self-esteem. Children will learn social skills to support healthy relationships between family members, peers and school staff.
