Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Emilie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I dedicate my career to supporting children and families navigating anxiety, adjustment, attachment, depression, and trauma. Guided by cultural humility, I honor the diverse backgrounds, identities, and unique lived experiences of everyone I serve. As a former military child, my personal and professional experiences give me a deep understanding of the unique cultural dynamics and transitions families face, while driving my lifelong learning to provide truly inclusive care. I utilize a holistic approach that examines your environment, relationships, and unique life history. I specialize in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate school dynamics and the transition into adulthood. My practice focuses heavily on helping clients overcome the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, or self-esteem challenges. Within my virtual office, you will find a warm, authentic, and completely non-judgmental space to heal.

My approach to therapy

My approach is deeply collaborative and person-centered, as I believe that building a trusting relationship and moving entirely at your pace is the foundation of true healing. As a holistic clinical social worker, I do not believe one-size-fits-all. I like to get creative and tailor a variety of therapeutic techniques to your unique, individual needs. I integrate evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, and EMDR to process trauma and build emotional resilience. Together, we will dynamically explore innovative and strengths-focused strategies to support your mind, body, and spirit as you heal.

What you can expect from me

In our initial sessions, we focus on laying a comfortable foundation, building trust, and moving at a pace that feels safe for you. We will begin by reviewing privacy policies and answering any logistical questions you might have to ensure you feel secure. From there, I will invite you to share your story, exploring what brought you to therapy and what your life looks like right now.

Because I use a holistic clinical social worker lens, we won't just look at symptoms; we will look at how your environment and history shape your present. By the end of our time, we will collaboratively outline a creative, strengths-focused plan so you leave with a clear roadmap and a sense of relief that you don't have to do this alone.
