Great to meet you!

During my 25+ yr. career, I have worked with all facets of the adoption triad and process; I have worked with individuals, traditional and non-traditional families, children of all ages and Veterans from WWII to the most recent conflicts. As a result of these experiences, I have learned a few things we all seem to have in common - we all want to be understood, we want to be accepted and we want to know that our very existence matters. It seems at one point or another, we all struggle to some degree with feeling heard, being seen or knowing we are valued; we struggle to feel we belong and feel who we are is enough and that our life has meaning. When we have road-blocks to these needs, we suffer. When we are suffering we cannot be all we are meant to be. Life begins to feel heavy. At this point we have gotten into the patterns of trying to carry and manage what is not serving us. It is my intention to assist you to discover what your 'baggage' is, why it exists and how to put it down. It is my privilege to help you find the right questions, move towards understanding the answers and encourage your confidence to let go of what holds you back, and to pursue your goals and improve life satisfaction.

My approach to therapy

I strive to provide an open & safe opportunity for you to share your thoughts, assist you in considering the difficult questions you face and process the challenges that might be keeping you for knowing your greatest happiness.

What you can expect from me

In the first session I hope to learn from you what your concerns are; how they impact you and move towards understanding what barriers you face to achieving your goals. We will assess the pillars of stability and review options we can engage in to move you towards achieving your goals including the use of EMDR, CPT, WET and or psychodynamic processing.
