Great to meet you!

For the last 10 years much of my work has focused on women experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD and relationship patterns in which they have felt dismissed, diminished, or as though their needs and emotions don't matter. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've been told you need to be strong or have been made to feel like a burden when you expressed your emotions. That wont happen with me. Therapy is a space where you can be honest about what is really happening in your life. I will not judge or dismiss your experiences or emotions. The real you is welcomed in this space and I'm honor that you would consider sharing your story with me.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empathic, collaborative and direct. I believe you deserve a therapist who will genuinely listen to you and be curious about your experiences. I will ask questions, help you notice patterns, and sometimes gently challenge you. We'll work together to understand not only what you're experiencing but why certain patterns developed and change patterns that no longer serve you. My goal is to help you understand yourself more fully and build a life and relationships in which you don't have to lose yourself to belong. I also offer Christian counseling and especially enjoy helping fellow Christian women live from their identity in Christ. I’ll follow your lead in how you’d like faith incorporated, including Scripture and prayer based on your preferences.

What you can expect from me

My goal is that you leave our sessions feeling heard and understood. We will explore your story at whatever pace makes you comfortable. I will help you learn more about your own thoughts, emotions, wants and needs, and how to express them. I will listen, ask questions, help you notice patterns and gently challenge you when it can help you grow. You can expect to leave with something to think about or practice so that your growth continues between sessions.
