Great to meet you!

You're taking the first difficult step towards change by vetting therapists, and I'd be honored to join you on each of the subsequent steps. I've been a clinical therapist for 12 years and employ a variety of tools to help you meet your goals. I'm especially drawn to and skilled in working with folk in transition, whether this relates to your age (preteen, teen or adult), relationship status, identity exploration or shifting life circumstances.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work collaboratively with my clients and would describe my style as warm, intellectual, creative, transparent, and empowering. I meet each person where they're at and respect the resistance that often accompanies change. Together we'll figure out what hasn't worked and why and try new ways of creating the life you want. While I tailor the work towards each individual, I enjoy introducing creative interventions beyond typical "talk therapy" including art, role play, writing and apps.

What you can expect from our first session

It's crucial that we're aligned on goals for treatment and when we'll know to terminate therapy. I will be transparent in my assessment and collaborate with you on goals. I offer referrals when appropriate and collaborate regularly with schools, psychiatrists, previous therapists, and other people relevant to meeting your goals.
