Great to meet you!

I am a Psychotherapist and Art Therapist based in Boulder, CO trained in EMDR. I specialize in trauma treatment, OCD & anxiety disorders, and relationship issues. I work with adults, couples, and teens. I support the journey of individuation and finding fulfilling relationships, while holding each unique life story and path in a social justice context. In addition to my private practice, I offer supervision to counselors an art therapists-in-training, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate level.

I've worked locally with Rose House Addiction & Mental Health Treatment Center, Faculty & Staff Assistance Program at the University of Colorado Boulder, Naropa Community Counseling Center, Sutherland Bipolar Center, and Safehouse Progressive Alliance on Non-violence, and the Women's Center in Cambridge, MA.

My approach to therapy

I offer a client-centered and healing relational space alongside the opportunity to nurture your relationship to yourself. In couples-work, I take an intersubjective stance that builds on both partners perspectives and needs equally. I provide guidance, empathy, and care informed by years in private practice, leading groups, and educating art therapists and counselors-in-training.

My approach is trauma-informed, grounded, and open-minded. I draw on the healing and depth of relational approaches, the practical tools of cognitive behavioral therapies, and the transformative power of trauma processing and art therapy. I am passionate about embodiment, healing relationships, and nurturing creativity. I have a special interest in gifted populations.

What you can expect from me

Leading up to the initial session I will reach out with a couple of questions to ensure I'm a good fit for your needs. In our initial session I will focus on getting to know you and establishing goals for therapy. I also review review intake questions and provide clinical assessment. If possible and where appropriate, I may offer tools or additional referrals as soon as the first session to provide relief.
