Great to meet you!

I believe humans, like all living organisms, have a natural inclination to bend toward light to help them grow. Sometimes life circumstances can obscure that light and make it hard to find, but starting therapy can uncover the light again and help you grow through life's challenges. Whether you're looking to build skills to manage stress, gain a better understanding of your innermost processes, or recognize and change patterns in relationships, I will create a supportive environment to help you achieve your goals, all while you learn how to be kinder to yourself. I have worked professionally with adolescents and adults struggling with stress, depression, and anxiety. I currently work with adults 18+ who are seeking support to achieve greater functioning and insight that they can apply in their daily lives.

My approach to therapy

My practice is fundamentally guided by the principles of person-centered therapy. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors to the success of therapy and I strive to foster an authentic and genuine connection with my clients. I offer an integrative approach that includes elements of mindfulness-based practices, humor, and positive psychology. I am collaborative and enjoy supporting my clients and helping them grow self-compassion as they learn more about themselves and achieve their personal goals.

What you can expect from me

I like to conduct a structured interview the first time we meet. This interview focuses on exploring your biopsychosocial history and helps give context to your life experiences and current circumstances. After this initial intake, I view each session as your time. It's important that you get to guide where we begin and for me to follow your lead. I enjoy helping my clients find the thread that weaves experiences together and gain deeper insight into their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationship patterns. You can expect to feel seen, heard, and understood in our work together, and it is my hope that my clients feel a sense of hopefulness and agency when they leave session.
