Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist living and practicing in Southern California. I decided to make a career change in my early 30's and pursued both my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. My education and training largely focused on multicultural and community psychology, and my dissertation focused on parenting gender diverse children. I specialize in LGBTQIA+-affirmative therapy (especially gender diversity), parenting support, women's issues, and ADHD, and psychological assessment/diagnosis. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, suicidality, chronic illness, relationship challenges, and grief.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy can have many shapes and forms. Sometimes, it is simply a place where you are seen and heard. Other times, it may delve deeper into your past, your relationships, and your emotions. Therapy can also be a place to obtain skills, tools, and resources. Each client has unique and specific needs, and it is my job to work alongside my clients in order to help meet those needs. I provide a therapeutic relationship that works to support clients in the best way possible and build upon client strengths.

What you can expect from me

During our first few sessions together, I focus on getting to know you and your story. I also like to hear about your goals and what you want to focus on in therapy. Therapy can be scary and vulnerable if you have never done it or when you start with someone new. I strive to help my clients feel safe and validated during our time together.
