Great to meet you!

Hey! I am Emily Day (She/Her) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been providing therapy since 2019 and graduated with my Masters Degree in Psychology from CSU Stanislaus in December of 2020. I have worked with children of all ages as well as adults both in person and through telehealth. I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate their lives while developing the skills and abilities to reach their mental health goals. Many people never learn how to effectively identify, communicate, and manage their feelings which leads to difficulties throughout their lives.

My approach to therapy

I aim to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to share and explore your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I utilize a strengths-based and solution-focused approach along with other evidence-based modalities. I believe it is incredibly important that I get to know the client and match the modality and interventions to the clients unique needs.

What you can expect from me

I know beginning therapy can be a huge step and it is more comfortable to meet with a therapist you feel safe with and connected to. I show up in sessions as myself, a real human being, ready to get to know you and collaborate on your goals, all while applying my clinical skills, knowledge, and experience to help you.

Our first session will largely be focused on getting to know you and what you would like to focus on in therapy. If you have any questions I would love to answer them and work together to identify and create goals to meet your needs.
