Great to meet you!

It’s hard being human, and things have only gotten harder in the information age. My counseling philosophy hinges on the idea that humans are, in fact, not the machines we can often feel like. Many of my clients struggle with chronic conditions, trauma/C-PTSD, identity exploration, neurodivergence, major life transitions, or most often a combination of these factors. My goal as your therapist is to help you feel more at peace with your mind and body, understand why our current world can feel difficult to live in, and find ways to survive and thrive while being compassionate with yourself when it’s hard.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the interaction between the mind and the body should be an important topic of focus in mental health counseling, and the interplay between these factors cannot be ignored. In addition to this, I believe it is also important to explore the ways that social and economic realities can stifle us from being our truest, fullest self. My goal as your therapist is to help you feel more at peace with your body, and to affirm and help you build confidence in your unique life experience.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will start by getting to know each other, and I will work with you to set goals for therapy and determine which therapeutic modality(s) are the best fit for you and these goals. We will also discuss your mental health history, what you want to improve upon through therapy, and answer any questions you have about the process. I hope you will consider working with me, and I look forward to helping you in your mental health journey!
