Great to meet you!

My name is Emily, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Calm Mind Therapy. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and providing EMDR services to those impacted by trauma. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming space for my clients to process, problem-solve, heal, and grow. My goal is to form a supportive and trusting relationship with each client, where they feel empowered to share their deepest struggles. I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside my clients during difficult seasons.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I enjoy incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused strategies into my work with clients. I completed an EMDR training program in 2024, and I am pursuing my certification in EMDR through EMDRIA. I have a passion for working with individuals with a trauma background.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel truly heard and understood. My approach integrates EMDR and CBT, allowing us to address both the roots of emotional distress and the thoughts and behaviors that maintain it. Through our work together, clients often gain greater clarity, emotional resilience, and practical tools to navigate challenges. My goal is to help clients heal from past experiences, build healthier patterns, and feel more empowered in their daily lives.
