Great to meet you!

Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling stuck, uncertain, or simply wanting something to change. Sometimes we know exactly what’s troubling us, and other times it’s harder to put into words. You might be trying to make sense of something from your past, working through a difficult relationship, or adjusting to a new stage of life. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to have all the answers before you begin.

I enjoy helping people make sense of themselves and their experiences, including how the past might still be shaping the way they see themselves and their lives today. I especially enjoy working with women and exploring the many things that can influence their lives, from relationships and family expectations to changing roles and life transitions.

I want you to feel comfortable being yourself with me. I bring warmth, curiosity, and an open mind to our work, and I hope you come away feeling understood, a little kinder toward yourself, and more open to new possibilities.

My approach to therapy

I believe that understanding ourselves begins with having the space to be honest about what we’re thinking and feeling, without worrying about being judged. Together, we can slow things down and get curious about what’s happening in your life, how you learned to see yourself the way you do, and whether some of those old beliefs still fit who you are today.

Sometimes we’ll explore experiences that have been painful or confusing for a long time. Sometimes we’ll focus on a current relationship, a difficult decision, or a feeling that’s hard to put into words. There is no right way to do this work, and you don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.

My role is to listen carefully, help you understand what you’re experiencing, and make room for new ways of thinking about yourself and your life. I won’t judge you or tell you what to do. We’ll work at your pace, with kindness and curiosity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin talking about what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand what you’re experiencing, what’s been difficult, and what you hope might change. You’ll have time to ask questions about me, too.

You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have a clear explanation for why you’re struggling. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to begin wherever you are, without any pressure to share more than you’re ready to share.
