Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Emily and I am a professional licensed counselor. I enjoy helping my clients to gain a deeper understanding their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and experiences. I believe that by exploring and re-processing traumatic experiences, we can attain a greater level of control over our own behaviors and emotions.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily with cognitive behavioral talk therapy. I also incorporate, art therapy, role playing, narrative therapy, and guided meditation when the client is open to a more creative strategy.

What you can expect from me

During their first session, clients will be invited to share their history and background, as well as, what brought them to therapy, and what they would like to get out of their therapeutic experience. Clients will be asked to identify a specific goal that they would like to work toward during therapy sessions, for example, overcoming a driving phobia.
