Great to meet you!

Hi there, My name is Emily (she/her). I have a Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling and am a licensed art therapist in the state of New York. I have 3+ years experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting with individuals with diverse diagnoses and needs.

My approach to therapy

As an art therapist, I encourage and use creativity in my repertoire to promote client autonomy and exploration along with verbal therapy to get a full spectrum of how I can best support. I view therapy as a collaboration, and would like to provide a safe, shared space for all.

What you can expect from me

Each session will be tailored to each individuals needs and my client and I will assess together how they are feeling, what goals they would like to set/complete for the current session, and what goals we could work towards together for future sessions. I view therapy as a collaboration, and would like to provide a safe, shared space for all.
