Great to meet you!

My name is Emily Hand, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that is particularly effective for trauma. With 8 years of experience, I work with adults and have a diverse background of experience with trauma, addiction, compulsive behaviors, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationship problems. I’m passionate about this work, because when we internalize pain we often believe there’s something wrong with us, but what I’ve found is that it’s not about who you are, but what has happened to you — and the ripple effects that follow.

My approach to therapy

I bring a strength-based, collaborative, and holistic approach to therapy. My goal is to walk alongside you, identify beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you, and help you reclaim your sense of self-worth and purpose. We will work together to build trust and create a supportive therapeutic relationship that respects your unique needs and experiences.

What you can expect from me

My clients typically tell me how much better they feel after one session. In our first sessions, my priority is to truly listen to your story. I understand that starting therapy can be intimidating, and I want you to feel comfortable. You are worthy of healing, love, joy, and belonging, and I’m here to support you on that journey.
