Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Emily, I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, and feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck. I also work with couples who are looking to improve communication, rebuild trust after infidelity or betrayal, strengthen emotional connection, or prepare for marriage.

My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and accepted without judgment. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized, not one-size-fits-all. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply feeling disconnected from yourself or others, I'm here to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences while also feeling supported in taking steps toward growth.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. When working with couples, I incorporate principles from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients better understand the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be contributing to their current struggles. Together, we'll identify practical tools and strategies while also exploring deeper emotional experiences, relationships, and values that can support lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. I'll spend time learning about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can share at your own pace. We'll discuss your goals, explore what's been getting in the way, and begin identifying areas where you'd like to see change.
