Great to meet you!

Hello,

My name is Emily Kronhaus, I am a cisgender female and my pronouns are she/her/hers and they/them/theirs. I have worked in education and counseling for over a decade, and I've come to believe that therapy isn't just about managing symptoms. Therapy is also about understanding yourself, your relationships, and the world you're navigating.

Maybe you're doing pretty well on paper, but something still doesn't feel quite right. Your career may be going well (or not), but your relationships don't feel as fulfilling as you'd hoped. You may be questions who you are, what you want, or whether the life you've built actually reflects the person you've become.

I work with people who are navigating questions of identity, fulfillment, relationships, and how to live more authentically within the systems and expectations around them. Sometimes that means figuring out what you actually want. Sometimes it means learning to make space for your own needs and voice. Other times it means understanding how your relationships, family, culture, work, or larger systems have shaped the way you see yourself.

Through out my career I have experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions relationship challenges, and questions of identity. My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in the belief that there isn't one "right" way to be a person or have a relationship.

Therapy doesn't have to be about fixing what's wrong with you. Sometimes it's about understanding yourself differently, questioning expectations that no longer fit, and learning how to build a life and relationship that feel more like your own.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a place where you can learn to understand yourself more deeply and build relationships that feel authentic and reciprocal. My approach is collaborative, curious and transparent. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences, notice patterns, explore possibilities, and develop the tools to create meaningful change.

I also believe our struggles don't happen in a vacuum. Who we are, our relationships, and the systems we move through all influence how we experience ourselves and the world. Together, we can explore those influences while also figuring out what you want to carry forward, what you want to change, and what feels authentically you.

Our work may include exploring identity and values, developing your voice and self-advocacy, understanding relationship patterns, setting boundaries, navigating difficult transitions, or finding ways to move through the world that feel more aligned with who you are.

You don't have to become someone else to create meaningful change. The goal isn't to fit you into a particular mold. Instead, it's to help you figure out what fits for you.

What you can expect from me

I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be genuinely yourself. I don't want therapy to feel like a place where you have to perform, have the "right" answers, or have to convince me that your experience is valid.

You can expect me to be warm, open-minded, curious, and honest. I will listen without judgement, ask questions, and work with you rather than telling you what you "should" do.

We'll make space for both the individual and the bigger picture: your thoughts, feelings, identity, relationships, environment, and the systems you navigate. We'll work together to understand what you need, find your voice, and learn how to advocate for yourself while staying connected to the values and qualities that matter to you.

Most importantly, therapy is a collaborative process. We're not trying to turn you into someone different. We're working toward helping you feel more like your authentic self.
