Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. I’m Emily Kropat, a licensed independent social worker with a background in hospice and palliative care. I provide a supportive space to process what you’re going through and find practical ways forward.

My approach to therapy

First and foremost my intention is to meet individuals where they are in the moment. This means re-assessing at the start of every interaction what is most meaningful at that time as an area of focus for conversation; while understanding that therapy is not always a linear process and is generally best guided by the individual.

What you can expect from me

In an initial meeting my primary goal is getting to know you- your history, your motivations to pursue therapy, and to gain a general sense of your goals to ensure meaningful conversations and tangible steps moving forward.
