Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Emily - I'm happy you're here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through some of life’s most challenging moments. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a school therapist, supporting students with IEPs as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges within the school setting. For 13 years, I worked in hospitals as a Certified Child Life Specialist, walking alongside children and families as they navigated chronic illness, medical trauma, and end-of-life experiences.

My approach to therapy

My expertise and experience is in childhood grief. I specialize in helping grieving children, teens, and young adults make sense of loss in developmentally appropriate ways, while offering a safe space where their emotions—big, confusing, and often unspoken—are welcomed without judgment. My experiences with families have deeply shaped who I am as a person.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together we will typically play a game, listen to music, and get to know one another. I strongly believe in relationship building and I want to know who you are!
