Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Emily Larios, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you better understand yourself and the relationships that matter most to you.

I have a background in clinical social work, family systems, child welfare, and behavioral health, with experience providing individual and couples therapy through telehealth. My primary areas of focus include relationships and communication, family concerns, life transitions, stress, and women’s issues. I also have experience supporting clients navigating trauma and pregnancy and infant loss.

In our work together, I’ll meet you where you are and help you identify patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical ways to create meaningful change. Whether you’re working through relationship challenges, navigating a difficult transition, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, feel supported, and move toward healthier relationships and a life that feels more connected and manageable.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and relationship-focused. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel safe enough to be honest, understood, and actively involved in the process. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing and identify practical ways to create meaningful change.

I use a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, drawing from relational and family-systems perspectives. I work with individuals and couples around communication, relationship concerns, family dynamics, life transitions, stress, and women’s issues. In couples therapy, I help partners better understand one another, improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen their connection.

My goal is not simply to help you get through a difficult moment, but to help you develop greater insight, confidence, and tools you can continue using beyond our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, what you hope to get from therapy, and the areas of your life or relationships that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

I’ll ask questions about your history and what you’ve been navigating, while giving you space to share what feels most important to you. We’ll also begin identifying your strengths, goals, and what you would like to work toward together.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about what we can work on together. Therapy is collaborative, so we’ll develop the direction of treatment together rather than trying to figure everything out in one session.
