Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Emily and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my MSW from Fordham University and my BA in Film and Media Studies from Columbia University. My creative background deeply informs my therapy style-- it's all about thinking differently, telling your story, and writing the life you want.

My approach to therapy

As a psychodynamic therapist, I am interested in your inner world and the meaning you make of your experiences. My practice is relational, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed. The work of fostering a healthy therapeutic relationship can bring about profound solidarity and self-discovery. My style is curious, collaborative, and creative.

What you can expect from me

On our first session, I work with you to understand what brought you to therapy, who you are, and the life you want to live. As we get to know eachother better, we work collaboratively to uncover what makes you unique because that self-knowledge is the foundation for real growth and wellness. This "you-ness" is the core of our work as we identify and reach goals to alleviate the suffering caused by depression, anxiety, trauma, and more.
