Great to meet you!

I'm a Queer, ADHD, Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in Queer and Neurodivergent care. I'm also a Polyamory and Kink knowledgeable clinician.

I primarily work with teens and adults and have experience working with trans and gender diverse clients, including writing surgery support letters. I'm also well versed in writing ADA support letters and advocating in 504, IEP, and college disability support situations as needed.

I'm a huge nerd and in addition to my Master's in Mental Health Counseling I have a second Master's in Sexuality (my dissertation is on kink) and undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Adolescent Sexuality from The Ohio State University.

My approach to therapy

I have two core beliefs that shape my therapy practice:

  1. Normal is overrated.
  2. Connection and understanding are the first step to healing.

These are our starting point and guiding principles. From there our work focuses on making your life functional for you, not the other way around.

Being an ADHDer also means I may jump topics more than your previous counselors. It also allows me to help make different connections and provide a different perspective.

What you can expect from me

The beginning of our work together is about getting to know you; what matters to you, your history, what's happening now in your life, and what styles of counseling you'll best benefit from.

Practically, this means in our first few sessions I'm going to ask you a lot of questions. We'll use these discussions to identify life and therapy goals that can guide our future sessions.
