Great to meet you!

Maybe you have been dealing with something for years and keep telling yourself you are fine, or life has gotten heavy enough that you cannot keep saying that. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Georgia and Alabama with more than 20 years in this field. I have done a lot: outpatient and inpatient mental health, community mental health, drug accountability court, substance abuse treatment, mobile crisis work, and the last two years inside a prison. That means you do not have to clean up your story before you tell it to me. I work with adults, and I do talk therapy only.

My approach to therapy

I am direct and practical. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) because it gives you something to actually do between sessions, not just something to think about. We figure out what is getting in your way, what you want instead, and the next real step. It is amazing what you can do when you really set your mind to it, and my job is to help you get there and stay there.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an exam. You tell me what is going on and what you want to be different, I ask what you have already tried, and we leave with a plan for the next few weeks. If you are ready to get to work, book a time and let's go.
