Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! My name is Emma Peters. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Through my time in the mental health field, I have developed a passion for working with young adults, and supporting the unique challenges they face today. I believe each client presents with a unique set of concerns and therefore benefits from an individual therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented. My role as a therapist is first, and foremost, to listen. I believe in creating a safe space to process your most difficult thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. I believe in empowering clients to feel confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges, through the development of new skills and challenging negative self-talk.

What you can expect from me

This process can be difficult at times (and fun at times!), but I believe growth and change do not exist without some discomfort. You have taken the steps to begin (or maybe continue) your mental health journey and I look forward to the opportunity to support and empower you along the way! When working with me, you can expect to walk away with new coping skills, tools for challenging and disrupting negative thoughts, and increased awareness of strategies for self-care and self-love.
