Great to meet you!

My name is Emily Riley. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and completed my master's in counseling at Fordham University. I have a variety of experience helping others from working in schools, hospitals, non-profit clinics, and now private practice.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic and person-centered approach to collaborate with my clients and provide treatment best suited to individual needs. I act as a guide to help clients grow, create a balance between all the aspects of self, emphasize strengths, and help clients make meaningful changes by increasing mindful awareness to promote thoughts and actions consistent with their values.

What you can expect from me

Therapy should be a place where you feel totally accepted, safe, and supported. I create an environment where you can feel comfortable speaking freely without fear of judgment. I help clients learn skills to effectively deal with everyday problems, or help them overcome the struggles they have been dealing with for years. Having a greater understanding of yourself will allow you to feel more confident and at peace, so you can focus on what is important.
