Great to meet you!

I am a strengths-based, trauma-informed counselor passionate about helping clients address trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment related concerns. I am TF-CBT (Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy) trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior therapy), an a TBRI (Trust based relational interventions) practitioner and enjoy helping clients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder learn how to improve relationships and manage emotions effectively. I graduated with my masters in 2021 and have had experience working in private practice settings and community mental healthcare settings.

My approach to therapy

I believe it’s important to tailor care to the client and their goals. Using evidence based practices, I will collaborate with the client on what treatment will best meet their needs. I use a client’s strengths and interests to make treatment more effective and engaging. I focus on enhancing the client’s ability to achieve wellness in mind, body, soul and spirit through counseling.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, validating, safe space to learn more about therapy and themselves. I will gather a history of problems and collaborate with clients on best evidence based therapy to address their life situation and strengths. Typical goals include improving functioning in relationships with others, learning the ability to emotionally regulate, learning to identify and challenge negative thinking that contributes to symptoms of anxiety and depression, coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, learning to communicate needs effectively, learning how to tolerate distress, and learning how to give and receive care. We will decide in the first session how often we would like to meet.
