Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Emily, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a Master’s of Education in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson University and I am a proud member of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for counselors. I worked as an LPC-Associate at a group practice in Katy, Texas, where I gained rich experience supporting diverse clients through life’s challenges, before opening my own practice.

I enjoy working with individuals ages 16 and up who are navigating life’s ups and downs - whether that’s managing anxiety or depression, facing career changes, redefining life goals, or working through challenges in relationships. I'm especially passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, helping those with ADHD thrive, exploring family history and dynamics, and walking alongside women as they move through the transitions of perimenopause and menopause.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in trust and creating a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen and heard. I strive to offer a judgement-free environment, where you are accepted just as you are. I see therapy as a collaborative journey, one where we work together to set meaningful goals and move toward the changes you want to see in your life. Finally, I believe growth happens when you feel both supported and gently challenged. If you give me that gift, I’ll always challenge you with compassion and with your goals at the heart of our work together.

What you can expect from me

I know that starting therapy can be a big step - one that may be uncomfortable or a little scary, so I aim to make the first session as comfortable and easy as possible. We'll start by getting to know one another, and I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy at your own pace. We'll also discuss what our work might look like moving forward. Finally, we'll review policies, confidentiality, and consent.

My goal is to build a strong foundation of trust so you can feel secure and hopeful about our journey together.
