Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Emily, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, following my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. I have experience working with individuals throughout the lifespan and I believe therapy is most effective when it feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded in trust.

My approach to therapy

Before entering private practice, I worked in the healthcare system, supporting patients and their families as they navigated chronic health conditions, unexpected injuries, and the complex journey of organ transplantation. These experiences shaped my deep appreciation for the ways life experiences can affect not only our emotional well-being, but also how we experience and connect with our bodies.

I’m especially passionate about helping teens and adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficult or overwhelming life experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, with a focus on helping clients feel more connected to themselves and develop a greater sense of safety in both mind and body. I draw from Somatic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. As a clinician trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I also incorporate EMDR when it feels like a good fit for a client’s needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and I don’t take that step lightly. Creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space is important to me. I view therapy as a partnership, and I work alongside my clients rather than simply telling them what to do. Together, we can explore what you’ve been through, better understand how those experiences may be showing up in your life today, and develop tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and empowered.

My hope is that you feel supported and understood throughout the process- and that, together, we can create space for meaningful growth and lasting change.
