Great to meet you!

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with more than 15 years of experience. I believe that individuals are more than a series of diagnoses; we are complex human beings within a specific context built upon unique histories. As such, our treatment should also be highly individual and ideally involve more than just medication alone.

My approach to therapy

My practice is primarily for individuals looking for weekly combined treatment, ie. psychotherapy with or without medications, though I do also see patients for medication alone. I have a holistic approach, using evidence based medicine but also considering spiritual, naturopathic and humanistic elements. My specialty has been with younger adults who are beginning to explore their goals, their relationships and how they may get in their own way - though I’m happy to work with adults of any age.

What you can expect from me

Our first visit or two will serve as a consultation; we can each determine if our objectives align and if we can work well together. Once we have entered treatment together, I would hope that our regular treatment hour would become a source of solace, curiosity and self reflection. I would also hope that over time each individual would experience a sense of growth. If this is not the case, we would need to work together to identify the obstacles.
