Great to meet you!

Hi there! My training is as a clinical mental health counselor and my clinical experience began in a university counseling center, working with college students. Since then, I have been working with adults in a community based outpatient clinic. In that setting, I have witnessed clients suffering with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, severe fluctuations in mood, relationship challenges, aging/stage of life, memory loss, and the stresses of daily life/society. In addition to working with clients, I supervise the team of counselors, social workers, and clinical interns. My most recent professional accomplishment is completing a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision.

My favorite part of this work is offering space for people to unload the weight they carry and hope they can move on a little bit lighter.

My approach to therapy

This is a partnership and I refuse to claim expertise over your experience. I want us to generate therapeutic goals together. I want you to have the space and autonomy to use the session to your benefit. Evidence-based therapies are great tools, but not a one-size-fits-all. My approach is to meet you where you are at today to help get you to where you want to be tomorrow.

What you can expect from me

I will want to get some context and history about you, an understanding of any symptoms you're experiencing, and what you hope to get out of therapy. Then I want to know how I can best support you in that journey. We can establish our flow from there.
