Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through life’s challenges. I believe everyone deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family challenges, stress, and other personal struggles. Whether you're working through a difficult experience, trying to strengthen your relationships, or simply looking for a better understanding of yourself, I'm here to help you feel supported along the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Solution-Focused Couples Therapy.

When working through trauma, I focus on helping you process difficult experiences at a pace that feels comfortable while developing tools to support healing and emotional well-being. For anxiety and depression, we can explore thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors while building healthier coping strategies and practical ways to manage everyday challenges.

When addressing relationship and family concerns, I use approaches that encourage communication, understanding, and stronger connections. I also incorporate stress management strategies to help you recognize what may be contributing to feeling overwhelmed and develop healthier ways to respond.

I believe therapy should be meaningful and flexible, so I draw from different techniques to create an experience that reflects your goals, strengths, and unique circumstances.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where your experiences and feelings matter. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, sharing openly, and exploring challenges at your own pace.

I value building a trusting therapeutic relationship and working together to identify goals that feel meaningful to you. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, encouraged, and better equipped with tools to navigate life's ups and downs. You don't have to figure everything out on your own, I'm here to support you along the way.
