I am a good fit for people who are nervous about starting therapy and those who may need more time and support with organizing thoughts. I have been working with teenagers and college students for many years. I also love working with families and adults. I generally spend the majority of the session talking with you but also bring in art, writing, and projects depending on what you are interested in and brings you joy.
I learn a lot from the stories I have the honor of being witness to in this work. I sometimes ask people if they would like to share parts of their stories through writing or transcripts with others that are struggling in similar ways. These are stories of what they have found to resist and respond to what they are up against. I find that this way of sharing can help with letting go of shame and build anonymous community.
