Great to meet you!

I am so glad you are here!

My name is Emma, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have nearly 6 years of experience in the field working in various outpatient and community-based roles working with children, teens, and adults. I am currently licensed in the state of Tennessee.

I currently offer individual therapy with ages 13 and up. My primary specialties are complex trauma, medical trauma and chronic illness support, and burnout and compassion fatigue. Other areas of interest are anxiety disorders, ADHD, women's issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, and life transitions. I am formally trained in EMDR for trauma therapy, and I am hoping to work towards certification over the next year.

My favorite therapy modalities are EMDR, internal family systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based approach, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

In my free time, I love spending time with my dogs, Ellie and Roxie, (who you will absolutely see during virtual sessions!), playing guitar, spending time with friends and family, and crafting.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic approach, meaning I uniquely tailor each client's therapy pulling from multiple different modalities. Humans are individually unique, so your therapy should be, too.

It is my priority and passion that all of my clients feel supported, valued, and heard every time they leave session. I do not take it lightly when someone chooses to work with me in their mental health journey!

What you can expect from me

It is really important to me that during the first appointment, we set a strong foundation for our work together. During this appointment, I like to learn about your story, your goals for therapy, and the opportunity to begin building our therapeutic relationship.
