Great to meet you!

I am honored to join you on your therapeutic journey- as we ask some of life’s hardest questions together, I will continue to remind you that you are not alone in your curiosity or confusion. My therapeutic style is rooted in affirming and compassionate care. Together, we will build a strong and trusting alliance, where the therapeutic relationship itself is an avenue towards growth and healing.

I specialize in working with the Queer and Trans community, and invite clients with all backgrounds who are interested in building a stronger mind and body connection. Somatically informed psychotherapy is a healing approach to feel more at home in your body.

My approach to therapy

I value a relational style of psychotherapy; we will dive into the relationships in your life, both past and present. I will integrate Somatic Experiencing as an opportunity to help you embody emotional experiences and move through unprocessed trauma. Somatic Experiencing can help us build an understanding of your nervous system and the stories it holds that go beyond cognitive memory. For couples, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which can help us identify negative cycles in your relationship, build compassion around cycles of escalation, and build new, positive cycles, rooted in love and connection.

I am available both virtually and in person in Brooklyn (11231).

What you can expect from me

A question I will be holding as we begin together is "How does it feel to be you?" I will be focused on what you need, because we all need something different in a therapeutic space. I will ask questions to get a sense of your history, but will also remind you that it takes time to build trust.
