Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Emma! A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma-informed care for adolescents and young adults. I hold a Master of Social Work from New York University and am certified in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and play therapy. My experience is rooted in working with youth and young adults who have faced complex trauma, family instability, and behavioral challenges.

My approach to therapy

My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), narrative therapy, and play therapy. These modalities allow me to meet folks where they are, using methods that are both developmentally appropriate and proven effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll start by reviewing consents and then ease into a conversation at whatever pace feels right for you. There is no pressures to answer everything at once. I'll ask some questions to get to know you and understand what brought you here, and we'll begin exploring what you're hoping to get out of therapy. My goal is for our first meeting to feel warm and welcoming, not like an interrogation!
