Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Emmanuel Ihemedu, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Connecticut. With nearly two decades of experience in counseling and pastoral care, I help adults navigate grief, anxiety, burnout, trauma, depression, emotional exhaustion, and life transitions through compassionate, emotionally safe telehealth counseling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and psychologically grounded. I help clients process emotional pain, understand unhealthy patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve boundaries and relationships, and move toward healing and resilience. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused therapy while creating a safe, supportive space for honest reflection and growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and emotionally safe environment where they can begin sharing what has been weighing on them without fear of judgment. In our first session, we will explore your current challenges, goals for therapy, and the emotional patterns or stressors affecting your life while beginning to identify meaningful paths toward healing, clarity, and growth.
