Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Emmanuel Ofori-Danso, a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University, where I also teach as a clinical instructor. For over 10 years, I've provided psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults and adolescents, and I've come to believe medication works best when it's paired with the right support system around it — what I call "Pills and Skills." I manage the medication side and connect clients with therapy when that's the right fit for their goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is measurement-informed and conservative: I rely on data and clinical evidence, including genetic testing (GeneSight®) when it's useful, rather than guesswork, and I explain every decision in plain language so you understand your options at each step. I work with adults and teens (13–17) on anxiety and panic, depression, ADHD, insomnia, PTSD and trauma, OCD, grief, burnout, postpartum concerns, and major life transitions. I also have a particular focus on men's mental health many men come to care later than they should, often due to stigma, and I try to make that first conversation easy, direct, and judgment-free.

What you can expect from me

We'll go through your history, current symptoms, and what's brought you in, along with any past treatment or medications to find the solution that work together
