Great to meet you!

I have built a comprehensive career in clinical mental health and addiction services. I hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral health with a concentration in Addiction from Alvernia University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University. I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and a Certified Mental Health Screener in the state of New Jersey. My clinical experience spans partial care, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings. I have supported individuals managing substance use disorders and a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Currently, I serve as a Supervisor at a Psychiatric Emergency Screening Center. In addition to my clinical expertise, I offer valuable multilingual skills. I am fluent in English and Haitian Creole (speaking, reading, and writing), and I possess a functional understanding of French and Spanish. These skills, combined with my family-oriented approach and passion for community engagement, allow me to build strong, empathetic connections with diverse patient populations.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach incorporates various evidence-based interventions, drawing from my experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of concerns. I primarily utilize a client-centered approach that focuses on each individual's uniqueness to create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. By demonstrating empathy and unconditional positive regard, I aim to ensure clients feel safe and empowered to take an active role in their treatment. As Carl Jung noted, “The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.” In this spirit, I also believe in the words of Steve Jobs: “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become.”

What you can expect from me

I specialize in working with clients who may be struggling with substance use related to various life stressors. During our initial sessions, we will conduct an in-depth review of your experiences to understand the factors contributing to your current situation. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan to address these challenges and support you in regaining control of your life.I aim to foster a safe, inviting atmosphere where you can feel comfortable sharing openly. My goal is to build a foundation of trust and rapport, ensuring you feel valued and supported throughout your therapeutic journey toward healing and growth.
