Great to meet you!

My aim is to create a warm, judgement free, safe space for you to understand yourself better. I see therapy as a journey between two people. At times the journey can feel daunting, overwhelming, and challenging, and I am here to help make the burden a little easier to bear. I work with individuals of all backgrounds and of various ages, coping with trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship struggles, work stress, stage of life transitions, and more. I have been on my own therapy journey too, so I understand what it is like to be on the "other side" of the room. I aim to use my own experience in therapy to bring empathy and compassion to your therapy journey.

My approach to therapy

I work to truly understand you and join with you to uncover difficulties or patterns you may not see just yet. Together we will enhance your ability to sift through the challenges and get to the root of the issues you are facing. I will help you gain more insight and clarity, and to create a deeper understanding of the ways your history is intertwined with your present. I will help empower you to recognize the changes you can make to improve your life, and how to make sense of the things that you cannot control. My goal is to help you live a more authentic, peaceful, fulfilling life. My experience lies in treating adults with a range of issues including trauma of all forms, depression, anxiety, relational issues, self-esteem issues, and mood disorders. I use an eclectic mix of psychodynamic theories, attachment theory, interpersonal and relational therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and CBT.

What you can expect from me

In each session, we will explore whatever is on your mind. Whether it be events from this past week, 10 years ago, general themes, or any feeling you're having in the moment. There is no script for the session. We will explore patterns, belief systems, emotions, thoughts, and ideas, and try to understand how they all impact you in the present moment.
