Hi there! My name is Emmy and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in treating young adults and adolescents with trauma, family & relationship issues, dating, depression, anxiety, and career related stressors.
I work relationally and psychodynamically. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an approach that involves facilitating a deeper understanding of one's emotions and other mental processes. It works to help people gain greater insight into how they feel and think. Relational work is based on the idea that mutually satisfying relationships are essential to one's emotional well being.
My clients come away from session with greater insight into their behavioral patterns and dynamics, improved coping skills for stressors in their lives, and higher quality interpersonal relationships.
