My name is Marquet Sutton, owner of Empowerment and Enrichment LLC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut. I have over 15 years of experience in the Therapy/Mental Health field. I wanted to be a therapist to one, HELP those in need. I also, realized that there were not enough Black men therapist. Men of all nationalities need to understand they too need to be heard. I specialize in trauma, ADHD, Depression just to name a few.
My approach is direct but empathetic. I tell my clients that therapy is not easy, if it was everyone would be doing it. However, like anything, once you start, it gets easier with time. Whether it be religion, spirituality, sports, whatever connection I can find to meet my clients. I work with all demographics. Each day is not only for the client to learn, but for me as a helper as well. I incorporate the strengthens of the client to connect with them.
Each client will be able to learn and have the knowledge to understand themselves better. They will have the education to help guide themselves when they are not in a therapy session. This will in turn, help them to educate others who may want to know more about mental health and therapy.
